The Albany Creek Brumbies has teams from Under 6 through to Under 18’s and we encourage boys and girls from surrounding suburbs to join our club.

Girls aged U6 – U10 will play in mixed teams. Girls U11 up to U18 will play in girls only teams.

All girls who join the Albany Creek Brumbies automatically receive membership in the Albany Creek Girls Rugby Academy.

Play On! Vouchers: If you were able to secure a Play On! you can email the code to [email protected] to redeem it. The club will claim the voucher online on behalf of the family. A discount code will be generated and sent to the parent. Parents are then able to register their child through the app, using this code at the online checkout. Please note at this time there is no way to use the Play On! code directly at checkout, you will need a code generated manually by the club.

Inclusions: The following items are included with your registration fee:

  • Player Insurance
  • Game day shirt (returned to club)
  • Referee and match fees (no ongoing weekly fees)
  • Sports medico expenses
  • ARU, QRU and BJRU Levy’s
  • Team photo
  • End of season trophy
  • End of season presentation night event
  • All new players for 2026 will receive a new player kit comprising: training shirt, game shorts, socks. Continuing players from previous seasons are able to purchase new kit if required.

Registration Process

All registrations must be completed via the Rugby Xplorer app.

  1. You can either download the app on your smartphone, or go to https://xplorer.rugby/ on your computer.
  2. You will need to be signed into your parent account. If you do not have one, you can create a new account.
  3. Go to "Register" then "Find a Club". Select the player that you are registering.
  4. Search for "Albany Creek GPS JRUFC" for the club name.
  5. Follow through the form to register your player. For "Registration Type", If the player...
    • Is turning 4 or 5 this year, select "Get into Rugby - Walla" (This is a training-only age group)
      • Note: If you are registering a player that is turning 5 this year, and would like to play in Saturday games, you can register them to "Get Into Rugby - Tri Time"
    • Is turning 6 or 7 this year, select "Get into Rugby - Try Time"
    • Is turning 8 to 10 this year, select "XVs Juniors"
    • Is a boy turning 11+ this year, select "XVs Juniors"
    • Is a girl turning 11+ this year, select "XVs Girls"
    • Would like to register for the Girls Academy only, select "XVs Academy"
      • Note that players registered in the above options are automatically eligible for the Girls Academy with no additional registration required

    Age Requirements

    Players play in the age group they turn in the current calendar year. For example, a child turning 12 this year will be part of the U12’s team.

    Players may play up one year but not up two years. For example: a player turning 12 this year can play in the U13’s but not in the U14’s. Club permission is required to play up one year and these requests must be directed to the registrar before the club Muster Night.

    No player is permitted to play in a team whose age group is younger than the player’s calendar year age group. There are special exceptions where this may be permitted based on height and weight requirements.
